About

The short answer...

Because I know how to help you make real, lasting improvements to your health.

I’ve worked in clinical laboratories, lecture theatres, government policy, and one-on-one with the public. This mix of experience, alongside my own personal health journey, gives me a deep, practical understanding of what actually works when it comes to improving health.

I’ve been where you are.

My own personal health challenges started a journey which inspired my work today.

My Story

As a teenager, I struggled with weight, anxiety, and blood-sugar swings.

At 15, I started to realise that nutrition, exercise, and talking therapy could help me feel better.

I read everything I could find, worked with therapists, started running and lifting weights and I started to feel a big difference to the way I felt. Later, I realised that sleep was another key piece to add to the puzzle.

Decades later, after gaining a PhD, working as an academic, and shaping public health policy for the government, I have a deep understanding of what actually makes a difference to your health.

Now, I am passionate about sharing this knowledge with as many people as possible to help them - to help you! - improve their health and their life as much as it has helped me.

My motivation

We have more information about health at our fingertips than ever before, yet we’re living more years in poor health.

Many of us juggle multiple physical and mental health challenges, even from a young age.

This doesn’t have to be the case.

Most chronic illnesses and daily health struggles can be prevented, improved or resolved via the levers of moving, eating, sleeping and talking.

But it’s not just about knowing what to do. It’s about having the support and encouragement to make lasting changes.

Ultimately, I want people to be able to experience more of life for longer.

This allows people to be happier and to better support those around them.

All in all, healthier people can give more of themselves to the world.

And I know that I can help people to this end.
